Disrupt Development worked with the Liliane Foundation (LF) - MIVA as they embarked on their #ShiftthePower trajectory.

Our work with LF-MIVA involved a mixed methods study to develop an understanding of LF-MIVA, partner and donor expectations regarding partnership practices and structures (‘Discover and Define’ phases). We spoke with numerous LF/MIVA partners around the world, a wide range of staff members and conducted a donor survey. Additionally, we facilitated a number of onsite meetings to sense into the organization and its expectations of the collaboration, to kick off the process and present initial findings and recommendations. A team of four DD researcher-facilitators worked on this trajectory. The collaboration was concluded with a report documenting the initial phases and outcomes of LF-MIVA’s #Shiftthe Power journey. In addition, the report offered foundations for the Ideation phase during which LF/MIVA and its partners will collaboratively develop their vision and ambitions for authentic partnerships.

LF/MIVA is a Netherlands based development organization with Partner Organisations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Jointly they seek provide children with a disability and their caregivers with tailor-made care. Overall, LF-MIVA aims to create more accessible and inclusive environments for children living with a disability.
