Within this volatility, global development itself is changing as well, which means there is a high pressure on development actors and professionals to adapt and improve in response to this constantly changing environment.
Working on complex problems, in dynamic environments requires not only upskilling development professionals to become adaptive and resilient to the changes to survive, but also entrepreneurial and creative leaders, who can thrive and dare to shift the existing paradigms and systems towards sustainable and inclusive development for all.
We at Disrupt Development have witnessed individuals and organizations who are motivated to make this shift and experiment with new approaches and solutions, and yet, lack the capacity to do so. To make a change, we need both the will and the skill.
As the world's first post-growth innovation academy in global development, we work with development leaders, nonprofits, social enterprises, corporates, international institutions, and governments to help get the biggest impact possible and achieve system change.

For that, we’ve curated a learning journey for development professionals like yourself who dare to level up their professional game.

Structure and content
The journey consists of six weekly 2-hour live sessions on Zoom, with optional in-between assignments with materials and resources for all who want to dive deeper into the content. Please note - your journey experience won’t be anything like the usual webinars and long powerpoints you know! With limited spaces, each group is planned to be an intimate brave space for learning, sharing and connecting.
The sessions are designed to be highly experiential and interactive, enabling personal leadership development, deep reflection, and practical applications of the learned content in an intimate setting. All the sessions and materials are in English.
This course is a pilot, made for pioneers who are ready to share honest feedback and co-create it together with us on the go.
The sessions will take place weekly, each Monday, from 3 - 5pm (CET), on the following dates and themes:
1 November – Why now? - Infuse your urge to transform with energy and inspiration. Understand why now, more than ever it’s time to make the shift.
8 November – Why me? - Align your personal purpose with your work and understand what’s holding you back, so you can embrace, name, confront and transform your challenges into opportunities.
15 November – Why is it a problem? - Set audacious goals for the change you wish to see, not only a problem you wish to solve. As you set the guiding star, you start an adventurous journey that sets your project up for impact and scale
22 November – Why this question? - Uncover and navigate complexity and understand how personal/cultural bias can impact framing. Learn how to design embracing diversity and inclusion.
29 November – Why this solution? - Boost creative confidence and learn to rapidly validate assumptions as you cultivate a learner’s rather than knower’s mindset.
6 December – What now? - Integrate the learned content and commit to professional practices to bring about transformational change in the organisation and projects you are part of.
Investment
In order to get the most of the course you’ll need to invest:
2-3 hours a week, for six consecutive weeks (so to keep the momentum)
A reduced fee* of 995 EUR + VAT (21%) from your own pocket or your own training budget (ask your HR or manager to support you in your learning and development!)
